Formula for Success

YSI's Formula for Success is the basis for programming at Elmore Academy, The formula provides a forum for youth to explore a variety of positive and challenging activities to expand their awareness and develop a sense of responsibility toward self, family, and society. Students develop new ways of behaving and thinking while receiving constant feedback from peers and staff. In all areas of programming, students work with peers and staff to set concrete goals. This occurs through a cognitive behavioral approach to learning and making changes. Progress in all areas is constantly checked and related back to the student's daily behavior and decision-making. Throughout the course of a student's stay at the Academy, the student is allowed to experience success and analyze failures in nearly every area of life, preparing them to meet challenges beyond the structured program of Elmore Academy.
